Job description

Associate Consultant position available in Construction Recruitment

Location: Rivergate Tower (the beer can building), on the Riverwalk in downtown Tampa, FL
Salary: $45,000 base + commission
Hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Benefits: Healthcare

The opportunity

This is a ground-floor opportunity to build a career in recruitment, one of the few industries where how much you earn is genuinely tied to how hard you work and how good you get.

Centurion Selection is a rapidly growing executive search firm specializing in the U.S. construction market, with offices in Houston, Tampa, and London. We’re looking for ambitious and driven professionals to join our Tampa team as Associate Consultants.

You'll join our construction recruitment team in downtown Tampa, working directly with the Florida construction market. That means no getting lost three layers down in a corporate structure: you'll learn the trade from someone senior, get real hands-on training and guidance, and see exactly how a successful recruitment team works.

Recruitment experience is not required. We'll teach you the industry; what we can't teach is drive and confidence on the phone, so that's what we hire for.

What you'll be doing
  • Learning the construction recruitment market across Florida, with hands-on training from day one
  • Speaking with candidates daily; a big part of this job happens on the telephone, so you need to be comfortable.
  • Research, identify and source high-quality candidates within the construction market to service our client’s recruitment needs.
  • Supporting live searches and developing the commercial skills (client contact, business development, negotiation) to progress into a full consultant role and beyond.
  • Work collaboratively with an ambitious team.

Who we're looking for
  • A confident communicator comfortable on calls; the phone is where recruitment happens
  • Ambitious, energetic, and commercially minded
  • Driven, competitive, and motivated to build a long-term career in recruitment with a career growth path
  • Sales, business development, or client-facing experience is a plus, but not essential.

If you've worked in sales, hospitality, retail management, or anything else where you had to win people over and hit targets, you likely have the raw material for this job.

Why here
Earn what you produce — base salary plus commission from early on
Learn from the top — direct mentorship from our VP, not a training manual
Clear progression — a defined path from Associate to full Consultant and beyond
A great place to work — an office in Rivergate Tower on the Tampa Riverwalk, right in the heart of downtown

If you're motivated by targets, competition, and the idea of a career where your results speak for themselves, we'd like to hear from you.
