About the Role
Post Consumer Brands is seeking an analytical, consumer-focused, and results-driven Associate Brand Manager to help drive growth across some of the most iconic and beloved cereal brands in the world. This role is ideal for a marketing professional who combines strong business acumen with a passion for understanding consumers, leveraging data, and bringing innovative ideas to market.
As an Associate Brand Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping brand strategy, leading high-impact initiatives, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver sustainable business growth. You will operate with a general manager mindset-balancing strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and executional excellence.
What You'll Do
Brand & Business Leadership
  • Serve as a steward of your assigned brands, partnering closely with the Brand Manager to execute the 4Ps: product, price, place, and promotion.
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumers, competitors, category dynamics, and marketplace trends to drive demand and brand growth.
  • Own business forecasting and performance monitoring, identifying key drivers across consumption, shipments, pricing, and competitive activity.
  • Analyze brand and category performance to uncover opportunities and recommend actions that improve business results.
  • Identify consumer and business knowledge gaps and collaborate with Sales, Operations, R&D, and Consumer Insights teams to address them.
  • Translate brand strategy into actionable annual operating plans and growth initiatives.
  • Support the development of annual and multi-year brand strategies through consumer insights, syndicated data, and competitive intelligence.

Marketing & Commercial Execution
  • Lead major cross-functional projects including innovation launches, product renovations, packaging updates, cost-savings initiatives, and other growth-driving programs.
  • Partner with Commercial Strategy, Category Development, Field Sales, and customer teams to execute brand plans across key retail accounts.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications teams to ensure effective development and execution of demand-generation campaigns.
  • Support successful brand activation and marketplace execution across channels.

Insights & Analytics
  • Leverage consumer research, Nielsen/IRI or other syndicated data sources, KPI reporting, and financial modeling to develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Monitor business performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize results.
  • Build compelling business cases supported by consumer, financial, and marketplace insights.

Leadership & Influence
  • Lead through influence by effectively partnering with cross-functional teams including R&D, Consumer Insights, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Drive alignment, accountability, and execution through strong project management and communication skills.
  • Present recommendations and insights clearly and persuasively to stakeholders and leadership teams.

  • Experience analyzing Nielsen, IRI/Circana, or other syndicated point-of-sale data strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Proven track record of turning insights into actionable business recommendations
