Position Summary
The Real Estate Transaction Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the execution of real estate transactions associated with new store development and asset management. This role oversees transaction administration, due diligence coordination, document management, critical dates tracking, handling contracts, and cross-functional communication to ensure accurate execution of real estate transactions. This position serves as key liaison among internal departments, landlords, developers, consultants, and legal counsel.
Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate the execution of all real estate transactions including acquisition, leasing, disposition, and new store development
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for transaction coordination among brokers, landlords, developers, attorneys, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Own tracking critical dates, contingencies, work-flow approvals, and closing requirements
  • Coordinate and oversee due diligence activities including surveys, title review, environmental reports, zoning, and permitting
  • Partner with internal and external legal counsel to coordinate review, negotiation, execution, and administration of transaction documents and related correspondences. Coordinate document execution, distribution and filing of fully executed agreements
  • Work closely with construction, design, operations, and finance teams to ensure project timelines are met
  • Prepare executive summaries, deal approval packages, and transaction reports for leadership
  • Serve as primary administrator for maintaining accurate transaction records, reporting, and databases including Lucernex
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and approved process
  • Support real estate committee presentations and approval processes
  • Support ad hoc projects assigned by leadership
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of real estate or paralegal experience supporting commercial real estate transactions, lease administration, real estate development, or legal operations
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate transaction processes, project management, and documentation including leases, purchase agreements, declarations, due diligence, and related contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent deals/projects, stakeholders, deadlines, and competing priorities within a fast-paced growth environment
  • Strong attention to details and excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and transaction management systems (Lucernex)
  • Ability to collaborate and operate independently in a hybrid work environment
  • Corporate experience within a real estate department for a national retailer (or similar) is a plus
  • Work effectively and professionally with attorneys, paralegals, brokers, and other internal and external partners
  • BS or BA required (Paralegal or real estate preferred)
