Job description

We are a Florida-based personal injury firm known for providing exceptional advocacy and representation to individuals hurt by the careless conduct of others. We are seeking a team-oriented Associate Attorney who is passionate about helping injured individuals and is excited to manage a high-volume caseload of 100% pre-suit cases. Compensation:

$115,000 - $125,000


Responsibilities:
  • Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system
  • Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
  • Appear as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigation
  • Delegate tasks and manage a team of litigation paralegals, legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, and legal secretary
  • Perform research on case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case

Qualifications:
  • State Bar Association membership and state license to practice law is mandatory
  • A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is desired
  • Proficiency in computers is vital
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree
  • 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or civil litigation practice areas is needed
  • A JD degree and Florida bar, with no disciplinary or malpractice history
  • Three to five years of legal experience
  • A genuine interest in the personal injury field
  • A Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
  • Superior oral and written advocacy skills
