Job description

Job Summary: Trauma Program Registrars of the CaroMont Health Trauma Registry are healthcare data professionals that utilize a computerized population-based trauma registry. They are responsible for identifying trauma patients admitted to CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Main, abstracting charts, organizing, and entering data into the trauma registry database. They assist the trauma program leadership in the expansion of existing services, new program development through accurate and timely data entry.

Qualifications: Minimum of High School graduate or equivalent. Previous registry experience and/or ICD-10 coding experience preferred. Good knowledge of anatomy and physiology and medical terminology is required. Software competencies in database management, spreadsheets, and word processing required. Good communication and organizational skills required. One to three years hospital experience required. Maintains competency in the trauma registry database, ICD-10 CM coding and AIS/ISS scoring.
