Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable High School Business Teacher with an emphasis in accounting. This position focuses on preparing students with essential business, financial literacy, and accounting skills needed for college, careers, and real-world success.

Terms of Employment:
Contract

Salary:
$50,000+ (BA, 04, 1.0 FTE, 20252026 Salary Schedule)

Qualifications:

  • Must have or be able to obtain Iowa teaching certification with appropriate 512 Business endorsement
  • Strong background or experience in accounting preferred
  • Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States

Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging business and accounting curriculum aligned with state standards
  • Teach courses such as accounting, personal finance, and other business-related subjects
  • Prepare students with practical financial skills including budgeting, financial analysis, and record keeping
