The Opportunity

Semper Tek Inc. is seeking an organized, motivated Assistant Project Manager (Project Manager Level 1) to support our Southeast Division operations in Valdosta, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong computer, communication, and coordination skills who wants to build a career in construction project management.

This position will report to the Southeast Division office in Valdosta daily, with some travel to active project sites as needed. A large portion of the role involves phone communication, project coordination, documentation, and administrative support for construction projects.

Previous construction experience is a plus but is not required. We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable working with different people, proficient

with technology, and capable of keeping multiple priorities moving.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day coordination and administration of construction projects.
  • Communicate regularly by phone and email with subcontractors, vendors, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Support project startup, documentation, vendor onboarding, and contract administration.
  • Maintain organized and accurate project files, reports, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, to track project information, create reports, and maintain records.
  • Assist with coordinating subcontractors, vendors, schedules, materials, and project requirements.
  • Help maintain project information and documentation within construction management systems.
  • Review project documents and assist with tracking outstanding items and deadlines.
  • Support project closeout and collection of required documentation.
  • Travel to project sites as necessary to assist project teams and gain hands-on exposure to construction operations.
  • Maintain consistent communication between the office and field teams to help projects stay organized and on track.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong computer skills and ability to confidently work within Microsoft Office 365.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, organizing, and maintaining project information.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable making and receiving frequent phone calls as part of daily project coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal team members.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to report daily to the Southeast Division office in Valdosta, GA.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience in construction administration, project coordination, or assistant project management.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore.
  • Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, or project documentation.
  • Previous exposure to federal, healthcare, or commercial construction projects.
