Job Summary:

The Project Manager leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of multifamily and housing projects from early design through construction completion. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently, guiding project teams, and maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring projects meet design intent, budget, schedule, and quality standards. The Project Manager works closely with Principals, consultants, and internal teams on technically complex, highly coordinated housing projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead multifamily and housing projects through all phases of design and construction, including schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • Establish and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and consultant coordination.
  • Prepare and oversee fee proposals, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication on progress, milestones, and issues.
  • Coordinate with consultants, authorities having jurisdiction, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project performance to meet deadlines, profitability targets, and quality expectations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate project billing and documentation.
  • Direct and coordinate project team efforts to support efficient, high-quality delivery of housing projects.
  • Mentor and develop staff through coaching, feedback, and clear delegation of responsibilities.
  • Support team membersโ€™ professional growth, including guidance toward licensure and AXP progress when applicable.
  • Provide technical oversight on design development, construction documentation, and constructability.
  • Guide consultant teams during early design and coordinate structural, MEP, and civil disciplines through construction documents.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, zoning requirements, and housing-specific regulations.
  • Schedule and lead internal quality control reviews of project documentation.
  • Collaborate with Principals and leadership to pursue new multifamily opportunities and expand the scope of existing projects.
Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven experience managing multifamily or housing projects, including complex coordination and tight schedules.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Strong client-facing skills, including presentations, issue resolution, and scope discussions.
  • Sound judgment in balancing design goals, constructability, budgets, and timelines.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and standard project delivery tools.
  • Ability to attend client meetings and site visits; valid driverโ€™s license required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Architecture required; Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of professional architectural experience, including project management on housing or multifamily projects.
  • Architectural licensure preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
