Job description

a rapidly growing national construction firm specializing in multifamily renovation and rehabilitation projects, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their team in the Canton, Ohio area. This role is responsible for leading large-scale renovation projects from preconstruction through closeout while coordinating field operations, subcontractors, schedules, and project financials in a fast-paced environment built around execution and accountability.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives under pressure, and has experience managing multifamily or occupied renovation projects with aggressive schedules and multiple moving parts.

What You'll Do as the Construction Project Manager:

  • Manage multifamily renovation projects from project kickoff through final closeout
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, ownership groups, and internal operations teams
  • Maintain project schedules, sequencing plans, milestone tracking, and production timelines
  • Lead owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, and project coordination discussions
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, procurement tracking, and change management processes
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and WIP reporting
  • Review subcontractor billings, lien waivers, and payment documentation
  • Coordinate owner billings and maintain accurate project financial reporting
  • Maintain project documentation within Procore and related systems
  • Identify and resolve project risks, scheduling conflicts, and operational challenges proactively
  • Support project closeout activities including punch lists, warranties, manuals, and inspections
  • Partner closely with field operations teams to maintain quality and schedule expectations

Must-Haves as the Construction Project Manager:

  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or Superintendent roles
  • Experience managing commercial, residential, or multifamily renovation projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project execution
  • Experience managing subcontractors and production-driven schedules
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and active projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of organization, urgency, and accountability
  • Experience using construction management software such as Procore
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Nice-to-Haves as the Construction Project Manager:

  • Multifamily renovation or occupied rehab experience
  • Affordable housing, HUD, tax-credit, or large-scale rehabilitation project experience
  • Experience with Bluebeam
