Job description

Description
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and delivering multiple building automation and security system projects of varying complexity. This role ensures successful execution by managing schedules, budgets, resources, and client relationships while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
The position supports projects in environments such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities, ensuring systems are delivered efficiently and meet customer expectations.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• 3+ years of experience managing projects in building automation, construction, or related industries
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and customer service skills
Requirements
• Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to establish schedules and timelines
• Coordinate procurement of materials and manage project costs
• Assist with subcontractor selection and coordination
• Conduct project orientations for technicians and ensure proper documentation distribution
• Track project progress, resources, and performance metrics
• Identify and manage change orders and project adjustments
• Coordinate billing, commissioning, and project close-out activities
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• SIA CSPM certification
• PMP certification or willingness to obtain within 2 years
• Experience in HVAC, building controls, or facilities systems
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
• Military background in construction, IT, networking, electronics, or facilities maintenance
