What You Will Do:

The consultant will support a premier law enforcement agency's cybersecurity compliance program for the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) focused on modernizing their Cybersecurity program. The Cybersecurity consultant coordinates with different project-implementing divisions and sections, provides oversight of cybersecurity programs and initiatives to the client's leadership, advises the CISO and Chief Information Officer (CIO) on cybersecurity programs and activities, and provides recommendations to leadership on Cybersecurity portfolio prioritization.

The consultant will provide program management support, planning capabilities and business process analysis and assist with developing briefing materials and executive level presentations to support project status briefings. The consultant will also assist leadership and leaderships' team leads with the facilitation, preparation, and execution of bi-weekly Program Management Review (PMR) sessions with executive leadership and provide input for monthly performance dashboards.

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Top Secret Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Six (6) or more years of experience working in cybersecurity or with cybersecurity programs including but not limited to: zero trust, multifactor authentication, enterprise logging, etc. Educational requirement may be waived if the candidate has ten (10) or more years of experience.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong proficiency with creating executive level presentations and briefings

  • Proficiency in Power BI tools

  • Department of Justice experience a plus

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$216,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
