Job description

Company Description:
Davenport Management & Consulting provides Project Management Solutions and PMO Consulting to a diverse client base of owners and contractors in multiple industries. We assist clients with Project Management, Change Management, Project Controls, CPM Scheduling, Project Management Training, and PMO Support.
Role Description:
This is a temporary Contract (~1 to 2 year) 40 hour/week hybrid position for a Construction Project Coordinator. The Construction Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling construction projects, managing budgets, overseeing construction management, and communicating with contractors and clients. The Construction Project Coordinator will also manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project reporting to ensure compliance with specifications This is a contract role.
Responsibilities:
  •  Provide administrative support to the Project Manager
  •  Assist the Project Manager/Project Engineer in the maintenance of logs.
  •  Attend and Document the Weekly Staff Meetings
  •  Assist the Project Manager/Project Engineers in the production of the Periodic Reports.
  •  Assist Project Manager/Superintendent in the reporting of Safety Statistics Monthly
  •  Assist Project Manager/Project Engineer in the Documentation of Punch list
  •  Implementation and maintenance of project filing system
  •  Document control including RFI tracking and detailed project file/logs maintenance
  •  Change order and Contractor payment processing
  •  Other responsibilities as determined by the Project Executive/Project Manager

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 years’ Construction Experience on projects over $1M.
  • Strong budgeting and project management skills
  • Strong Technical and communication skills are critical
  • Strong oral, written communication, and organization skills required
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate with clients, designers, contractors, and field staff.
  • Basic knowledge of RFI tracking
  • Basic Knowledge of contract document review and scheduling techniques. 
  • Basic Knowledge of payment review & preparation.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Experience in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
  • Experience with Project Management software, E-Builder preferred.
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Excel and Word are required*
  • Experience with CPM scheduling software is a plus
  • PMP Certification or equivalent is a plus
  • Public agency experience a plus
