Position Title Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication Unit College of Arts & Sciences Job Location Crete, NE (68333) Description of Work
Doane University, a nationally recognized liberal arts and sciences university in Crete, Nebraska, invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position begins August 10, 2026.
Responsibilities include teaching 9 to 12 credit hours of on-ground undergraduate courses each semester. Courses to be taught could include Fundamentals of Communication, Writing for Social Media, Basic News Writing and Reporting, and/or other courses in Communication or the Doane Core.
While teaching is the primary responsibility of this position, the successful candidate may also participate in service activities and assume limited administrative responsibilities, depending on the needs of the university and the candidate's experience and interests.

Minimum Required Qualifications
