Job Title: Assistant Professor, Biological Sciences (Human Physiology) Department: Department of Biological Sciences Reports to: Chair, Department of Biological Sciences Status: Full-time, benefits-eligible Rate: $65,000 to $80,000 Location: Lisle, IL Position Description: The Department of Biological Sciences at BenedictineUniversity seeks applicants for a nine-month full-time tenure track facultyposition in human physiology at the Assistant Professor rank, beginning in Fall2026. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate andgraduate courses in human physiology. The selected candidate will also be askedto contribute to the introductory biology sequence. Dedicationto teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and master's levels,undergraduate student research, mentoring of master's students, and service tothe University are expected. Department Description: The Department of Biological Sciences housesundergraduate degrees in Biology, Health Science, and Sport & Exercise Science,as well as a Master's degree in Integrative Physiology. The Health Sciencedegree program is the largest undergraduate program at Benedictine University. Essential Job Responsibilities: Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, in on-ground and/or online modalities.
