We are looking for a skilled Pre-Litigation Attorney to join a plaintiff-side personal injury practice in Houston, Texas. This position is well suited for someone who values client contact, thoughtful case assessment, and effective resolution strategies before formal litigation becomes necessary. The role offers the chance to work on a broad range of injury matters in a collaborative setting with strong administrative support and a focus on delivering meaningful outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Oversee a portfolio of personal injury claims from initial intake through pre-suit resolution, ensuring each matter progresses efficiently.
โ€ข Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on medical care, claim developments, and recommended next steps.
โ€ข Assess liability, damages, and available insurance coverage to shape case strategy and support settlement efforts.
โ€ข Examine medical files, billing records, and related documentation to build well-supported claims for compensation.
โ€ข Prepare persuasive demand submissions and lead settlement discussions with insurance carriers and opposing representatives.
โ€ข Partner with paralegals, case managers, and intake professionals to maintain organized files and timely movement of cases.
โ€ข Recognize matters that should proceed to litigation and coordinate a smooth handoff with the litigation team when appropriate.
โ€ข Keep case notes, deadlines, and follow-up activities current to support accuracy and responsiveness throughout the pre-litigation process.

โ€ข Knowledge of injury valuation, medical treatment documentation, and insurance claim practices.
โ€ข Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust with clients.
โ€ข Ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
โ€ข Spanish language skills are welcomed but not required.
