Putting people first

The Assistant Practice Manager (APM) is responsible for supporting the Practice Manager to manage the facility in its entirety, including business management, financial management and overall clinical operations management. It is the Assistant Practice Managers job to partner with the Practice Manager to ensure the highest level of customer experience satisfaction and efficient staff management to help meet the demands and needs of the facility and clients. It is the job of the Assistant Practice Manager to aid the Practice Manager when implementing and enforcing all CityVet policies, standards and procedures.

Essential qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age at the time of hire
  • Minimum one year of veterinary industry experience

A day in the life:

  • Helps facilitate, encourage, and participates in the improvement efforts alongside the facility team to ensure the CityVet brand standards, policies and procedures are met when delivering client care and customer service that results in maintaining a high Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Partner with the Practice Manager (PM) to design, manage, input, and publish the facility schedule to ensuring efficient skills are allocated to the appropriate appointment demands and needs of the clients, Veterinarians and animals are met.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager (PM) and facility staff to maintain proper inventory management of office supplies, facility supplies and medical supplies to assure adequate levels of inventory for current and anticipated needs.
