Job Summary: The Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the practice, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and fostering a positive work environment. This role involves managing staff performance, resource allocation, and operational efficiency to support seamless practice operations and enhance patient care.


Supervisory Responsibilities Include: 

  • Lead and manage daily operations and interactions within the practice.
  • Oversee scheduling, staff management, and the hiring and onboarding of new employees.
  • Promote accountability and effective performance among team members.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between staff and the Practice Area Manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including inventory management and financial analysis.
  • Monitor staff training and development needs, implementing retraining programs and education sessions for staff and providers, ensuring compliance with training requirements (e.g., ACLS, BLS).
  • Serve as a resource for staff, addressing concerns proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, and Marketing, to improve patient experience, streamline operations, and support business growth. 
  • Assist the Practice Area Manager in conducting regular reviews with providers and staff to assess practice performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with practice teams to enhance communication and ensure alignment on development expectations.
  • Ability to perform all practice functions, excluding licensed positions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skills / Abilities: 

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in inventory control and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of managing the financial processes related to office visits, including billing, payments, and insurance processing.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


Education and Experience: 

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience in practice operations or healthcare administration.
  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a medical office or clinic within the healthcare field.
