OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Inventory Planner will assist in the execution of the inventory strategy supporting the company's value-merchandise business. The primary focus of the AIP is to accurately allocate purchase orders and replenish store inventory levels in a timely fashion that aligns to the merchandising strategy for a particular product category.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Allocate bulk purchase orders using the Allocations systems

  • Allocate inbound purchase orders of off-price opportunity buys
  • Split purchase orders to achieve optimal store level inventory integrity
  • Pull appropriate backstock quantities to maintain strong inventory productivity and in-stock measurements
  • Maintain proper inventory levels by store location to support sales, margin and turn goals

Partner with Merchandise and Inventory Planners to understand priorities, evolving business strategies and execution plans

  • Ensure execution of purchase order allocation are prioritized and completed based on evolving merchandising strategies
  • Execute inventory re-balancing opportunities as necessary
