What will you do as a Senior Inventory Planner at HOMAGE?

The Senior Inventory Planner is responsible for owning and driving item-level inventory strategy, demand forecasting, and inventory performance across channels. This role partners cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to optimize inventory positions, maximize sales and margin, and minimize risk. The Senior Inventory Planner plays a key role in improving item-level forecasting accuracy, refining planning processes, and driving inventory performance across the business.

Job Duties

  • Own and execute item-level and seasonal inventory planning processes in partnership with merchandising and planning, influencing assortment, depth, and timing decisions to achieve financial targets
  • Own buy depth, flow strategy, and allocation across channels, optimizing inventory investment to maximize revenue, margin, and inventory turn
  • Manage and maintain open-to-buy plans in partnership with planning leadership, ensuring alignment with inventory targets and financial goals
  • Partner with sourcing team and external vendors to align production strategies with demand forecasts, managing communication of inventory needs, timelines, and delivery expectations
  • Own in-season item and inventory reforecasting, allocation, and inventory interventions to maximize in-stock rate while minimizing inventory needs
  • Support scenario planning to assess risks and opportunities related to demand variability and supply constraints
  • Oversee purchase order placement and accuracy in partnership with sourcing teams, ensuring alignment with inventory strategy and financial plans
  • Own key inventory performance metrics including in-stock rate, inventory turn, and forecast accuracy for assigned categories
  • Develop and manage regular reporting that drives new insights on inventory performance, opportunities, and riskย 
  • Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for in a Senior Inventory Planner at HOMAGE?

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, or merchandise planning.
  • Hybrid work schedule in Columbus, Ohio; Ability to work 2 days per week in office
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong execution skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy
  • Highly analytical with a passion for numbers
  • Curious, self-motivated individual who can problem solve challenges and anticipate potential blockers.
  • Proven ability to own and drive business outcomes and process improvements
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Self-sufficient and capable of seeking alignment to achieve deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
  • Experience with planning, forecasting, or inventory management systems (NetSuite, ERP, BI tools, or other) preferred
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
