Description

This position serves as the first point of contact for tractor trailer drivers arriving on site and provides clerical support for shipping and receiving activities. Additionally, this role supports inventory control by assisting with cycle counts, inventory investigations, and ERP transactions. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish) and possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reception & Clerical Duties:

  •  Greet and check in inbound and outbound tractor trailer drivers.
  • Verify pickup numbers, bills of lading, and appointment documentation.
  • Communicate dock assignments and relay critical instructions to drivers.
  • Maintain accurate check-in/out logs and electronic tracking systems.
  • Answer phones, route calls, and support general clerical tasks.
  • Coordinate with Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, and Security teams.

Inventory Control Support:

  • Perform daily transactions in the ERP system, including inventory adjustments, pallet transfers, and confirming transfer orders.
  • Assist with daily/monthly cycle counts and year-end physical inventories.
  • Investigate and document discrepancies between physical inventory and ERP records.
  • Support the processing and verification of inbound and outbound PODs.
  • Help organize warehouse zones for effective storage and staging.
  • Follow product rotation protocols (FIFO) and storage procedures.
  • Assist with goods receipt, stock movement, and recall support as needed.
  • Food Safety, Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow all GMP, HACCP, and company food safety protocols.
  • Maintain sanitary working conditions and report any concerns.
  • Act and communicate in a professional manner to foster a positive work environment.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  •  High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of clerical, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and general computer use.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform occasional physical tasks in warehouse areas.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with pallet jack or forklift equipment a plus.
  • Prior exposure to food safety or GMP environments desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  •  Ability to work seated at a desk and standing in warehouse environments.
  • Occasional lifting, bending, and walking in cooler/dry storage areas.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds unassisted.
