Job description

Sea Colony Recreational, located in Bethany Beach, DE, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Retail Administrative Assistant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Work on Holidays during Summer (peak season). Retail background is a must.

Job Purpose:
Performs a variety of administrative functions to assist with the daily operations of the office, department, and various retail locations. Conduct sales and inventory management. Researches and prepares statistics for departmental reports and assist in maintaining departmental budget. Assist customers and troubleshoot customer service issue when necessary. Retail experience is a must.
1. Managing and distributing information within the office. Generally includes answering phones, taking memos, and maintaining files. Also, in charge of sending and receiving correspondence.
2. Monitoring, recording expenditures and creating spreadsheets in reporting expenses to manager. Required to be knowledgeable in office bookkeeping software, such as Microsoft Excel.
3. Serve as administrative liaison with other departments and outside entities.
4. Researches and prepares statistics and analysis for basic departmental reports.
5. Prepares and processes: purchase orders, expense reports, invoices, check requests, and telecommunication requests for approval.
6. Performs programming of POS systems and maintaining hardware. Liaison to tech support and IT committee.
7. In season directly aids in the management of all retail venues. Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs and walk to all venues on beach.
8. Monitoring and maintain Retail store inventory.
9. Assist the Retail Manager in planning and implementing strategies to at customers.
10. Pre and post season develops and implements inventory plans for inventory turn.
11. Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
12. Additional tasks assign.
13. Travel requirement – Buying trip with the Manager 1 or 2 times a year.
Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.

  • Education High school diploma or GED required. BA or BS degree preferred.
  • Experience Minimum five years experience in administrative and retail support.
  • Familiarity with financial and customer service principles.
  • Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics.
  • Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular).
     
  • Retail experience is preferred.
