Job description

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Risk Management and the Insurance Manager, this position is responsible for assisting the Insurance Team with insurance certificate processing as it relates to the business's insurance programs and processing Contractor/Owner Controlled Insurance Program (CIP) related activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze contracts for insurance and CIP requirements.
  • Provide insurance information to various departments when requested
  • Coordinate the ordering of certificates of insurance for our customers through ACCO's broker. 
  • Manage enrollment of ACCO projects into various CIP portals, ensuring data accuracy across systems, and meticulously maintaining the Smartsheet log used by multiple departments for reporting and tracking. 
  • Act as liaison between customers, project management, and other ACCO departments to coordinate insurance-related requirements, communicate policy changes and address coverage inquiries. 
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute ad hoc reports using Smartsheet and Microsoft Office software to provide timely data and insights to the Risk Manager and Insurance Team.
  • Specials projects as required and other duties as assigned by manager.

Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.): 

  • Extensive computer knowledge: Excel - Capable of using Macros, databases, graphs, reports, forms, formulas and functions. Word - Capable of creating new documents, letters, etc., Internet - Provide detailed data searches and online applications.
  • Able to edit text: Adobe and Foxit friendly, ensure data accuracy (98% accuracy required in all work products).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and able organize data.
  • Able to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  • Able to work in a deadline driven / high demand work environment while maintaining professional behavior.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Required: 1+ years of insurance and/or CIP experience; high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.

  • DesiredBachelor's degree in a related field; experience in the construction industry or administrative experience in the construction industry strongly preferred.

Travel required 0-5% of the time to other office locations.

Hours:

This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm with a one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary for business needs

Competitive Wages:

$22.59 to $29.80 per hour. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
