Weekly Hours: Full-Time (Hourly), weekends included

Property Type: Conventional Lease-Up


Position Overview:

The focus of the Leasing Consultant is to lease apartments while achieving the highest effective rent levels possible and maintaining a strong customer service/satisfaction philosophy. You assist in your community's goal to effectively and efficiently lease the property, while also promoting excellence in resident customer and service.

No experience with property management or leasing? We pride ourselves in utilizing diverse employment backgrounds. Often, our most successful leasing consultants were once waiters/waitresses, customer service representatives, call center employees or in the hotel industry. Job Description/Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Show apartments

• Provide information to prospects via telephone and personal visits

• Accurately quote prices

• Follow up on all prospects

• Thorough knowledge of the immediate market and all comparable properties

• Thorough knowledge of the surrounding community

• Ensure all necessary application paperwork is obtained from prospects

• Provide superior customer service

• Collect money (deposits, rents, etc.)

• Prepare and review leases for accuracy

• Maintain effective and aggressive lease renewal program

• Inspect apartments for readiness

• Adherence to and proper implementation of all Fortis Properties Management policies and procedures

• Distribute move-in packages

• Other duties as delegated


Knowledge of and adherence to the following:

• Fair Housing policies and procedures

• ADA policies and procedures


Experience

• Prior leasing/sales experience is preferred

· Prior lease-up experience strongly preferred

• Proficiency in social media preferred

• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, MRI, AppFolio)

• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

• Strong Communication skills both orally and written
