About the Role
Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Graphics Designer to serve as the primary creative resource dedicated to The Key - our growing customer loyalty and co-brand credit card program. This is a unique cross-brand role supporting acquisition, engagement, retention, and brand storytelling across the WSI family of brands, including Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, West Elm, Rejuvenation, and Mark & Graham.
This designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including marketing, CRM, copywriting, digital, production, and brand teams to deliver cohesive, customer-centric creative across digital and print channels. The ideal candidate is an adaptable visual storyteller with strong design fundamentals, a sharp eye for typography and layout, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design and produce customer-facing creative assets for The Key loyalty program and co-brand credit card across all supported WSI brands.
  • Create compelling digital and print marketing materials including:
    • Email campaigns
    • Site landing pages
    • CRM and promotional campaigns
    • In-store signage and collateral
    • Direct mail and print materials
    • Social media graphics
    • Presentation and internal communication materials
  • Translate marketing objectives and creative direction into thoughtful, on-brand visual solutions from initial concepting through launch.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity for The Key that works across multiple WSI brands while respecting each brand's individual standards.
  • Produce designs that effectively communicate complex concepts and information - such as program benefits, earning structures, and financing terms - in an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly manner.
  • Collaborate with Creative Managers, Marketing, Site, and Production teams from concept through final execution.
  • Ensure all creative work aligns with brand standards, campaign goals, and customer experience expectations.
  • Prepare production-ready files and partner with print and digital vendors as needed.
  • Assist in managing and organizing design assets, ensuring files are easily accessible and maintained for future use.
  • Maintain accuracy, organization, and consistency across projects while managing multiple deadlines.
  • Stay current on design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices across retail, loyalty, and digital marketing.
  • Contribute ideas and creative solutions during brainstorming sessions and campaign development.
  • Support ongoing optimization and testing initiatives by incorporating performance insights into future creative.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to help maintain and elevate design standards.
Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Web Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in retail, agency, loyalty, financial services, or consumer marketing environments.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in typography, layout, color, branding, and visual storytelling, with a focus on digital design.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma is required.
  • Proficiency in Airtable strongly preferred.
  • Experience designing for both digital and print channels.
  • Understanding of responsive design principles, usability, and modern digital marketing best practices.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, or applying brand guidelines and design systems.
  • Experience supporting multi-brand retail is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues, assess options, and move work forward without letting complications slow progress.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to receive feedback and iterate quickly.
  • Additional experience with light video/animation, UI/UX design, or copywriting is a strong plus.
  • Passion for retail, customer experience, and brand storytelling preferred.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented approach with a readiness to jump into new challenges.
  • Consistent, reliable delivery and a track record of learning and adapting quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $77,000 - $87,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
