What We Want

The Football Athletic Assistant provides operational and administrative support to the Football Team. At the direction of the Football Director of Operations, this role will assist with daily team functions, event preparation, communications, and overall program coordination to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

ADMINISTRATIVE & OPERATIONS SUPPORT

  • Assists with coordinating all recruiting efforts (game days activities, official visits and unofficial visits, and other Football recruiting events). Assists with the documentation of all forms related to Football recruiting. Supports staff in day-to-day team operations, administrative and logistical tasks. Maintain confidentiality of student-athlete information and comply with all department policies and procedures. Collaborates closely with coaching, operations and support staff on assigned projects and daily responsibilities.

FILM/EVALUATION PROCESS

  • Maintains up-to-date prospective student-athlete profiles and film profiles on behalf of assigned assistant coach(s). Serves as a liaison between assigned assistant coach(s) and video staff, providing specific video information and statistics as requested. Provides computer breakdown of video for prospective student-athletes. Organizes and distributes all videos. Maintains up-to-date recruiting board on behalf of assigned assistant coach(s).

CAMP/CLINIC

  • Assists the Football Camp Director with camp logistics.

COMPLIANCE

  • Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athlete: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality, and other areas as deemed appropriate. Maintains awareness of and supports the initiatives of the Athletics Department.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven knowledge of NCAA rules.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
