Job Summary

We look for enthusiastic, motivated team players who are passionate about our local running and walking community to inspire others to stay healthy and active.  As a Fit Specialist, you will assist customers of varied backgrounds and ensure an excellent experience for all.

Responsibilities 
  • Provide a consistently high level of customer service for a wide variety of customers and their footwear needs- from runners and walkers to everyday/comfort footwear customers.
  • Provide a customized fitting experience, asking the right questions to ensure the customer gets the best shoe (and other products) for them.
  • Ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure is key
  • Provide general information about running, training programs, upcoming events, etc.
  • Maintain storefront through regular cleaning and organization
  • Assist manager(s) with opening and closing responsibilities
  • Assist event staff with responsibilities and events as needed
  • Attend periodic staff meetings/workshops 
  • Other duties as assigned by the owners or managers
Primary hours: Weekend shift (Saturday 10-5pm, Sunday 11-5pm).  
Additional hours during the week will vary with seasons (store hours from 10am-6:30pm).
Applicants should be able to commit to 15-25 hours per week.
Qualifications
  • Outgoing personality and eager to learn
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Previous customer service or retail experience preferred, but not required.  
  • Outdoor/endurance activity experience preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to work well in a team environment
  • Eligible for employment in the United States
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
