Job description

As a member of our hospitality team, the primary role of a Back Aisle Attendant is to prepare the back service area for banquet functions by working closely with Banquet associates, providing them with the necessary equipment and service support, and communicating special equipment requirements to the Banquet Manager. This role will be responsible for organizing the equipment according to the Banquet Event Order and the Banquet Captain's requirements to ensure a smooth flow of service during the event. This role will also maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service aisles, assist in clearing and transporting dirty dishes, and prepare coffee and tea for guests as requested. A crucial part of this role is assisting the Banquet associates in setting up and breaking down events.

  • Collaborate with the Banquet Manager/Stewarding Manager to understand and communicate any special equipment requirements for events.
  • Efficiently organize equipment based on the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and the instructions of the Captain/Chef.
  • Respond promptly to requests from the Captain/Chef to replenish food items, as well as China, Glassware, Silverware, and Linen supplies.
  • Safely transport food, dishes, utensils, and other necessary items from the kitchen areas to the designated event locations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service aisles and equipment throughout the event.
  • Assist in clearing dirty dishes and returning them to the kitchen as needed.
  • Provide support to the Banquets service staff to ensure prompt delivery of food and beverages to guests at appropriate temperatures.
  • Thoroughly clean and clear all breakdown tables, and properly dispose of all trash from the event area.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for operating golf carts, if required for the role.
  • Demonstrate the ability to push, pull, lift, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds for short periods of time.
  • Assist the service staff in setting up and breaking down functions as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
