Event Bartender (Hourly)

Event Bartenders support private and large-scale events at The Attic at Waterman’s, Festival on 8th, The Shack, and select off-site venues. This role is primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays, scheduled based on event needs.


Key Responsibilities

Bar Setup & Preparation

  • Arrive promptly at the venue, prepared and ready to begin work at scheduled times.
  • Set up event bars according to client selections, bar packages, and event specifications.
  • Ensure all bar equipment, glassware, garnishes, and supplies are properly stocked prior to service.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of bar layouts and supply locations.

Service & Guest Experience

  • Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic manner.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic and classic cocktails, shots, beer, and wine.
  • Make drink recommendations to guests based on the event’s bar offerings.
  • Follow all company drink recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Adhere to all alcohol service policies, including checking IDs and responsible service.

Bar Operations & Side Work

  • Stock, clean, and maintain the bar to company cleanliness and organization standards throughout the event.
  • Assist servers and food runners with water refills or clearing when bar volume allows.
  • Complete assigned side work during and after events to support smooth operations.
  • Break down the bar at the end of events, ensuring all equipment, product, and supplies are properly cleaned and stored.

Schedule & Availability

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
  • Scheduled based on event needs
  • Must be available for large-scale events and holiday weekends
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a bartender in a high-volume environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, shots, and drink mixing techniques.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Physical ability to carry upwards of 50 pounds and perform tasks required for bar setup and breakdown.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be of legal drinking age.
