Director of Sales - Marriott & IHG Portfolio (Omaha, NE)
We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Sales to lead corporate revenue generation across our Marriott and IHG branded hotels in the Omaha, Nebraska market. This role will have a primary focus on Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) and corporate transient sales, with responsibility for building long-term business relationships and driving consistent market share growth.
Position Overview
The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to grow corporate business across multiple hotel assets. This leader will focus heavily on outside sales activity, account development, and strengthening LNR partnerships within the Omaha corporate market.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-motivated sales professional with strong knowledge of both Marriott and IHG sales systems, brand standards, and corporate sales processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue growth through development of LNR and corporate negotiated accounts
  • Conduct consistent outside sales calls, client meetings, and market visits
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new corporate transient and group business opportunities
  • Maintain and grow existing key accounts across both Marriott and IHG properties
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize market penetration
  • Partner with hotel General Managers and Revenue Management teams to optimize pricing and positioning
  • Track and report sales activity, pipeline, and account performance
  • Represent the hotels at local business events, networking opportunities, and industry functions
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate decision-makers and travel managers
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hotel sales experience required
  • Prior experience with Marriott and/or IHG brands strongly preferred
  • Proven success in corporate transient and LNR sales development
  • Strong outside sales experience with demonstrated ability to close business
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties/accounts
  • Proficiency with hotel sales systems and CRM tools (Delphi, CI/TY, etc. preferred)
  • Strong understanding of hotel revenue management and market segmentation
