Coggins Call Center | Assistant Business Development Manager
Compensation: $40,000-$70,000+ per year (Base Salary + Performance Commission)
Are you a high-performing automotive BDC professional who's ready to step into a leadership role? Coggins Auto Group is looking for an Assistant Business Development Manager to help lead our growing Call Center alongside our BDC Manager.
This is a performance-based position where your success is tied to both your individual production and the overall success of the department. You'll play a key role in helping the team hit sales, appointment, customer satisfaction, and service growth goals while continuing to produce at a high level yourself.

What You'll Do
  • Work alongside the Business Development Manager to drive department performance and achieve monthly sales goals
  • Continue handling your own internet and phone leads while serving as a leader within the department
  • Assist with coaching, training, and developing BDC Representatives to improve appointment-setting and customer engagement
  • Provide support with objection handling, phone skills, and customer communication
  • Monitor lead follow-up, appointment quality, CRM activity, and customer satisfaction
  • Help ensure department processes and manufacturer standards are consistently followed
  • Track key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support dealership sales growth through effective internet, phone, text, and email communication
  • Drive service business by managing customer databases, recall campaigns, maintenance reminders, service-due lists, and customer retention initiatives
  • Help execute outbound sales and service campaigns through calls, texts, and emails
  • Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and accountability
What We're Looking For
  • Previous automotive BDC experience required OR significant call center/appointment-setting experience
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and appointment goals
  • Strong leadership qualities with a desire to coach and motivate others
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Process-driven with excellent time management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
  • Proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, and other dealership technology
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality

This position offers a competitive base salary plus performance-based commission, rewarding both:
