Position: Assistant Controller

Location: Princeton, NJ

Salary: $150k – $175k + Bonus


Medical Device company seeks an Assistant Controller to join their Team!


Position Summary

The Assistant Controller will support the Company's accounting, financial reporting, SEC compliance, and cash management functions. This role will assist with the monthly close process, preparation of SEC filings, financial statement reporting, treasury activities, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and public company requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Support preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and related disclosures
  • Monitor daily cash activity and assist with cash forecasting and treasury management
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audits
  • Assist with SOX compliance and internal control documentation
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and special accounting projects


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably with public company reporting experience
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial statement preparation
  • Strong Excel and ERP system skills
