Job description

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR EVENT RETAIL Job Summary

The Event Associate is responsible for preparing for upcoming events, executing pre-event tasks, and managing staff coordination on event days. This role involves close collaboration with Road Representatives and providing direct support to the Event Manager. Key responsibilities include overseeing event setup and breakdown, addressing employee requirements, and managing warehouse operations. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective problem-solving to ensure events run smoothly and align both with client expectations and company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet fans and provide world-class plus service
  • Assist fans with event purchases through AtVenu (POS)
  • Assist with setting up and merchandising of stand
  • Assist with replenishing event merchandise for sale during the event
  • Assist with inventory & counts of merchandise and train proper procedures for handling event merchandise
  • Comfortable working in loud fast paced environments, with concert/performance noise, flashing lights and large audiences.
  • Assist Event Supervisors with set up, delivery and fulfillment of special requests.
  • Effectively communicate safety and security measures throughout the venue.
  • May be assigned to work in different functions of retail or event types as needed, including e-commerce, hockey games, the plaza store, warehouse, etc.
Qualifications
  • At least six months prior experience working in customer service
  • Experience working in retail/events or sales preferred, cash handling skills preferred
  • Outgoing personality and desire to provide world-class plus service to guests
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience using AtVenu (POS) systems is preferred
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
  • Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
  • Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
  • Ability to work in loud environments
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high-traffic event times
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
