Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is partnering with a client in the energy sector to identify a skilled Citrix Engineer for a remote opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Citrix virtualization products including DaaS (Citrix Cloud), NetScaler, and App Layering. Experience with Nutanix AHV, Google Cloud Services, and Amazon Web Services are a plus. Networking and PowerShell scripting experience are also preferred. ServiceNow, Change Management, exceptional customer support, and time management skills are required. The Citrix Engineer will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting the Citrix environment and associated hypervisors.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Administer/maintain various Citrix environments, virtualized applications, desktops, hypervisors, and StoreFront sites
* Manage Windows systems, including Windows Server 2019 and 2022
* Utilize PowerShell and Python to automate common functions
* Create, develop, and update documentation for all configurations, standards, and critical procedures within the Citrix environment, including Nutanix hypervisor where applicable
* Administer Citrix licensing and resolve licensing issues to ensure compliance
* Assist with management of server images, application/OS installations, deploying physical servers, and documentation
* Manage NetScaler appliances in a GSLB configuration
* Work with application teams to deploy new applications, updates, and troubleshoot issues
* Assist with designing new Citrix environments
* Participate in on-call support rotation
Working Conditions:
* Remote work environment
* Some overtime required as special projects arise
* Fast-paced environment with significant project volume; change is the norm
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
* 6+ years of relevant Systems Administration experience, including 4+ years with Citrix virtualization products
* Experience managing Citrix NetScalers
Preferred Qualifications:
* Administer/maintain Citrix virtualization environments including Citrix Cloud (DaaS), Applications, Desktops, App Layering, and StoreFront
* Manage NetScaler appliances in a GSLB configuration
* Manage Windows systems, including Windows Server 2019 and 2022
* Work with application teams to troubleshoot, update, and deploy new applications
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Strong understanding of network and server operating systems, current network hardware, protocols, and standards
* Excellent customer service orientation and follow-up skills
* Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
* Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within teams
Physical Requirements:
* Close visual acuity required for preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
