Job description

We're looking for a Senior Systems Engineer that can assist in the design, implementation, and support of servers and systems used in both the office and clinical environments. This person will serve as a technical lead, optimize system performance, automate processes, and partner with infrastructure, security, and clinical teams to deliver reliable end-user computing solutions. This is a hybrid opportunity, 2 days onsite in Woodbury, MN.


Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions. Assists in the implementation and administration of virtualization technologies and servers running Citrix and/or VMware. 

• Lead technical planning for resilient systems that support clinical and business applications while maintaining strong uptime, security, and performance standards.

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and end-user computing issues, identifying root causes and driving timely resolution in high-impact environments.

• Optimize Citrix platforms through performance tuning, capacity planning, and user experience improvements across virtual application and desktop services.

• Build and maintain automation tools and scripts, including PowerShell-based solutions, to improve operational consistency and efficiency.

• Collaborate with security, application, and clinical stakeholders to align infrastructure services with compliance, access, and business requirements.

• Support core Microsoft and identity technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange-related environments.

• Administer VMware-based platforms and associated storage systems that host critical virtual workloads and highly available services.

• Provide technical guidance to early-career engineers and serve as a senior escalation point for infrastructure initiatives and support challenges.

  • 5+ years of enterprise Windows infrastructure experience
  • Strong expertise with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD)
  • Experience with PVS/MCS, Citrix NetScaler/ADC, and profile management
  • VMware (vSphere/ESXi) administration
  • Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Exchange Hybrid, Intune/MECM, and Azure (hybrid environments)
  • Enterprise storage experience (Pure, Isilon, Nimble, or similar)
  • Healthcare IT experience preferred (Epic, Cerner, or other clinical applications)
  • Understanding of HIPAA and secure, highly available infrastructure
