About the Role 

We are seeking a self-motivated, results-driven Merchandise Specialist to join our computer integration business. Reporting alongside the Allocator, this position is responsible for executing inventory management and allocation processes for both current and recently discontinued product lines. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple departments to maintain optimal inventory levels, support business objectives, and help drive the successful implementation of company initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure the right products are available in the right quantities at the right locations to meet customer demand and business objectives
  • Monitor inventory levels for assigned categories, maintaining targeted weeks-of-supply goals while considering sales trends, seasonality, and budget requirements
  • Support company in-stock objectives to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction
  • Create, review, and update purchase orders as needed to support inventory and merchandising strategies
  • Communicate regularly with vendors through email, phone, conference calls, and meetings regarding purchase order confirmations, modifications, cancellations, shipment tracking, and issue resolution
  • Partner with the Allocator to identify inventory opportunities and challenges, providing timely recommendations and feedback.
  • Manage secondary forecasting systems and collaborate with the Allocator to support primary forecasting activities and inventory planning.
  • Coordinate advertising and promotional inventory by ordering products, managing replenishment, allocating merchandise by store, ensuring timely delivery, and verifying pricing accuracy
  • Perform a variety of administrative functions, including vendor onboarding, purchase order management, markdown processing, pricing updates, price protection documentation, markdown eligibility management, and inventory deck maintenance
  • Support cost-saving initiatives by identifying alternative sourcing opportunities through distribution channels, online marketplaces, and other approved suppliers
  • Assist with new store openings by coordinating inventory orders, transfer shipments, discrepancy resolution, and additional operational support as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred; or equivalent work experience. Supply chain manufacturing integration is a plus
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to achieving goals
  • Proactive and accountable professional who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership of responsibilities, and continuously evaluates and improves personal performance
