Responsibilities
The Stock Manager is responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity, efficiency and customer serviceas well as managing the team responsible stocking items on the shelves and ensuring the neat, orderly condition of the store.

  • Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency and customer service:
  • Not a supervisory role
  • Ensure customer service goals are continuously met
  • Formulate and enforce picking goals for each area/zone of the warehouse.
  • Ensure dock to stock for most lines within 72 hours.
  • Work with purchasing to develop and implement procedures for unloading orders from vendors and stocking them on our shelves.
  • Ensure trucks/ trailers are efficiently and accurately loaded/ unloaded to support the efficient movement of goods and materials to their destinations to fulfill commitment to our customers and support sales objectives.
  • Work with dispatchers and outbound production team to enhance customer service via delivery vehicles.
  • Check in and post orders from hubs and vendors
  • Maintain an accurate count of inventory
  • Assist parts pullers to locate and identify parts
  • Handle damaged deliveries, report damaged merchandise to shippers and vendors
  • Coordinate with store manager and purchasing on inventory updates and replacements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Oversee operations:
  • Maintain a meticulous standard for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that safety and compliance practices meet DOT and OSHA standards
  • Maintain 5S warehouse principles are administered and followed on a routine basis
  • Manage carrier (FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.) and local (contract) delivery relationships

Qualifications
  • Must have 2-4 years experience as a stock manager
  • Expertise in supply chain, logistics, and time sensitive distribution required
  • Experience with WMS/ inventory management system, RF technology and conveyor technology
  • Must possess ability to multi-task and adjust to dynamic order flow fluctuations as needed
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to identify areas drifting behind in production and pro-actively take action to get back on track
  • Experience in tracking metrics, including key performance indicators such as inbound/outbound productivity.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts preferred
  • Forklift, Hazmat and OSHA Certifications preferred
  • Clean/ valid drivers license preferred
  • Ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, stand/ walk for up to 10 hours, able to squat, bend and reach, able to climb and descend stairs safely (applies to locations with stairs)
  • Ability to work powered equipment (forklift, cherry picker etc)
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety
  • Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
