Overview: The Stock Manager will maintain an organized stock room, process shipment, and assist with stock replenishment on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure shipments of merchandise are processed in and out of the store quickly and accurately.
  • Ensure shelves and stockroom are fully stocked, well organized, clean, faced tagged and signed. Maintain cleanliness standards consistently.
  • Report any shipment discrepancies immediately to the appropriate person, including Store/District Manager. Understand and communicate to Store Manager on weekly basis about the stock available and/or damaged
  • Ensure all hangers are separated and placed in correct boxes. Responsible for condensing styles and ensuring fixtures are in one place.
  • Meet company standards for store appearance, performance, product knowledge and store operations
  • Understand and follow store operating procedures (SOPs) and policies. Be self-managing; focus on effective planning and time management as well as prioritization of tasks
  • Assist Store Manager in training and enforcing security policies and procedures
  • Actively participate in meetings to inspire ideas, foster innovative thinking, identify opportunities and business observations; communicate best practices and determine solutions through open and honest dialogue
  • Demonstrate leadership in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all established store and individual goals. Demonstrate professionalism when dealing with coworkers/customers

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous stock experience is required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; College degree a plus but not required
  • Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed

  • Takes initiative and has problem solving skills
  • Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift.
