An Allocator is responsible for managing and distributing stock or inventory within a retail or supply chain business. They analyze sales data, monitor stock levels, and work closely with buyers and merchandisers to ensure products are sent to the right stores at the right time. Job description

Job Description STOCK ALLOCATOR As a Stock Allocator, you will play a vital role in managing stock allocation to our stores, collaborating with various teams such as merchandising, buying, and retail. Your responsibilities will also involve liaising with production to ensure timely stock deliveries. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: Weekly Reporting: Generate Monday morning reports covering merchandise, bestsellers, store performance versus plan, and intake. Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to identify new styles or repeats and allocate them to stores based on demand phases. Analyse the bestsellers report, providing valuable feedback and observations.

System Proficiency: Utilize the company system proficiently and offer assistance to the IT team during system migration. Implement any necessary price or product code changes on AX and ensure new labels are issued to all stores. Set up and manage new styles on Ideal Replenishment Plans.

Meetings: Participate in "lesson learnt" meetings with the merchandising team, reviewing product areas, discussing trading season highlights, and planning for the upcoming year. Attend production meetings to address delivery schedule amendments and updates. Provide a brief weekly trade update to the wider team.

Season and Phases: Develop and update the allocation plan for the season as required. Create item/purchase order (PO) entries in the system. Store Communication: Handle daily stock requests and queries from stores.

Take action on transfers, analyse store needs, create spreadsheets, communicate with stores, and manage replenishment accordingly. Gather feedback and trading patterns from stores to inform future decisions. Warehouse and Shipping Communication: Maintain weekly communication with the warehouse, addressing pick schedules and delivery issues, and managing replenishment processes.

Liaise with production to prioritize styles and review delayed or outstanding deliveries. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Entry-level position, but prior experience as an allocator/merchandise administration assistant (MAA) is preferred. Intermediate level proficiency in Excel.

Strong organizational and administrative skills. A passion for analysing data and problem-solving. Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

If you are looking for an engaging role that involves working closely with cross-functional teams and contributing to the success of our retail operations, we encourage you to apply for the Stock Allocator position.
