Job Description:

Addison Group is hiring a Senior Account Manager on behalf of our client. This role is responsible for strengthening client partnerships, expanding business opportunities, and supporting successful delivery of services. The ideal candidate will have strong account management experience, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive customer success and achieve growth objectives.

The Senior Account Manager will manage strategic client relationships, identify opportunities for additional services, support sales initiatives, and ensure projects align with client goals, timelines, and operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospective customers to support business growth.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities while maintaining long-term client partnerships.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders by understanding business needs and delivering effective solutions.
  • Partner with internal teams to evaluate client requirements, recommend solutions, and communicate priorities effectively.
  • Support account strategy development, opportunity planning, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Research potential leads, evaluate opportunities, and assist with sales strategy and proposal development.
  • Use industry and business knowledge to create compelling value propositions and support client decision-making.
  • Assist with onboarding and expansion of new accounts while ensuring successful transitions to service delivery teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, introduce new services, and increase account value.
  • Develop sales strategies, account plans, and action items to align teams toward business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to support client initiatives.
  • Monitor client needs and proactively recommend solutions before challenges arise.
  • Analyze account trends and provide insights to support business planning.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and communicate client needs to internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Support client presentations, business reviews, and service quality evaluations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Business, or a related field required.
  • MBA preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional client relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and industry concepts.

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience working with ERP, warehouse management, reporting, or business intelligence systems preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, analysis, and Pivot Table functions.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial analysis, supply and demand concepts, pricing strategies, and ROI evaluation.
  • Ability to interpret business reports, contracts, and financial documentation.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and strategic accounts.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
  • Professional communication skills, business etiquette, and a commitment to ethical practices.
