Job DetailsJob Location: Maryland Office - Hunt Valley, MD 21030Salary Range: $170,000.00 - $240,000.00 Salary/yearWallace Montgomery is searching for an Asset Management/GIS Manager to join our team in the Hunt Valley, Maryland office. The Asset Management/ GIS Manager is responsible for overseeing enterprise GIS systems, asset management programs, spatial databases, and geospatial technology initiatives in support of the firm’s projects and operations. This position provides technical leadership, project management, and strategic direction for GIS and asset management services while supporting business development, client coordination, and staff mentorship.
Essential Functions:
Manage enterprise GIS systems, asset management platforms, and spatial databases.
Supervise GIS staff, project teams, and subconsultants in the performance of project tasks and assignments.
Manage GIS and asset management projects including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and deliverables.
Develop and implement GIS workflows, standards, QA/QC procedures, and best practices.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, scientists, and clients to support project delivery.
Provide technical leadership for GIS application development, spatial analysis, and enterprise system integration.
Manage ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, SQL/SDE geodatabases, web applications, and mobile GIS solutions.
Support development, implementation, and maintenance of asset management systems and associated workflows.
Develop and maintain scripts, automation processes, and integrations to improve operational efficiency.
Review technical deliverables, data quality, and GIS products to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
Support proposal preparation, technical approaches, scope development, and business development initiatives.
Participate in client meetings, presentations, and professional organizations.
Mentor and train GIS staff and support employee development.
Assist with evaluating software, hardware, and technology solutions for GIS and asset management operations.
Support internal strategic initiatives related to GIS, technology, and operational improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications:
Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Geography or a related field
Professional certification(s) such as GISP, PMP, or related certifications preferred.
Minimum of 8–10 years of GIS, asset management, or related experience preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of project management and/or staff management experience preferred.
