Position Title: Secondary/Assembly Operator
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Shift Schedule:
- Current Hours: Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM.
- Overtime: Occasional Saturdays and could work until 4:30PM
- During high production periods, employees may work Monday - Friday, 10-hour shifts.
Training:
- Candidates should be available to train on day shift for 2-4 weeks before transferring to nights.
Position Overview
The
Secondary/Assembly Operator supports production by performing a variety of assembly and secondary operations. This is a small team environment where flexibility and teamwork are key. Most work involves assembly tasks, deburring parts, and operating a drilling machine as needed to meet nightly production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble parts according to work instructions to create the finished product.
- Coordinate and prepare all components required for assembly.
- Perform visual inspections and remove defective or flawed parts.
- Deburr parts and complete assigned secondary operations.
- Operate basic machinery, such as a drilling machine, when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures.
- Accurately record labor hours and production counts on labor tickets.
- Replenish supplies and prepare the workstation for the next shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a small team.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in various areas as needed (assembly and secondary operations).
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
