License/Certification Required
Essential Job Functions
This role works within The Schaefer Center and Appalachian Summer Festival.
To assist the Director of Booking & Artist Relations in administrative and tasks related to programming presented by The Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts and An Appalachian Summer Festival, to include:
- General administrative/office support (data entry, preparing and assembling letters/welcome packets, copying/faxing, budgetary planning/tracking, contracts, receipt management)
- Internal/external communications (email/phone, scheduling, meeting notes)
- Artist hospitality (assist with advance process for all hospitality logistics, assist with planning/shopping, catering set-up and maintenance, coordinating with caterers)
- Public relations/interaction with visiting artists and the public (local artist transport via use of University or rental vehicle, "Day of Show" runner for errands and serve as primary hospitality contact, oversee hospitality advance with artists)
- Attendance at program events and social functions (as needed)

- Knowledge of MAC computers, Google applications, Microsoft Office, Adobe (Acrobat, InDesign)
Work Schedule/Hours
30 office hours/week + events. Up to 40 hours/week during the summer months. Must be available nights/weekends for scheduled performances.
