Eligibility requirement: This position is only open to current ATSU students with approved work study funds

Location: On-site (ATSU Campus Mesa, AZ)

Duration: Summer (with potential to extend)

Compensation:$16/hour


About the Role

The Interdisciplinary Research Lab (IRL) is seeking a detail-oriented Research Assistant to support ongoing research projects involving eye-tracking and behavioral data analysis. This role focuses on coding and organizing data collected from studies using iMotions software, contributing to research on learning, decision-making, and user experience in health sciences education.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining hands-on experience in applied research, human behavior, and emerging technologies in education. Only current ATSU students with approved work study funds will be considered for this position. If you do not meet this eligibility requirement, please do not apply.


Key Responsibilities

  • Code eye-tracking and behavioral data using iMotions software
  • Follow a structured coding protocol to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Review recorded sessions and apply predefined coding criteria
  • Organize and document coded data for analysis
  • Participate in initial training sessions and periodic check-ins
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to research data protocols
