The Marketing Assistant is a contracted position designed for an emerging marketing professional who is eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced performing arts and nonprofit environment. While often considered an internship-level opportunity, this role offers meaningful responsibility across a wide range of marketing disciplines while providing mentorship, coaching, and real-world experience. 


Working alongside the Marketing Manager and marketing team, the Marketing Assistant will contribute to a variety of marketing initiatives that support Ravenscroft and Music Serving the Word. This role is ideal for someone who is naturally curious, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to developing both their creative and strategic marketing skills.

The Marketing Associate will assist with projects across multiple areas of marketing, including:


? Social media content creation, scheduling, and community engagement 

? Email marketing campaigns 

? Graphic design and creative asset development 

? Digital advertising support 

? Event planning and marketing execution 

? Project management using Monday.com 

? Photography and video production 

? Website updates using WordPress 

? Strategic marketing and communication plans 

? CRM management and audience segmentation using HubSpot 

? Copywriting and content development for print and digital marketing 

? Public relations and media outreach 


Responsibilities may vary throughout the year based on marketing priorities, seasonal campaigns, and organizational needs. 


Qualifications 


? Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Social Media, Public Relations, or a related field. 

? Passion for marketing and a strong desire to learn across multiple disciplines. 

? Growth-minded with a positive attitude and willingness to receive coaching and feedback. 

? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

? Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. 

? Creative thinker with a willingness to contribute new ideas. 

? Portfolio or samples of previous work (graphic design, writing, social media, photography, video, or related marketing projects) required with application.

Basic familiarity with the following software is required. Candidates should have some exposure to these tools and be comfortable continuing to build their skills with guidance and training.
