The High-Volume Manufacturing Area Manufacturing Engineering team plays a key role in keeping Micron's wafer fabs running safely, efficiently, and at scale. We work at the center of manufacturing execution, balancing capacity, risk, and performance to support both development and high-volume production goals. This role focuses on strengthening Physical and Chemical Vapor Deposition (PVD and CVD) manufacturing performance by reducing operational risk and building stable, predictable capacity. You'll work closely with Manufacturing, Process Development, Industrial Engineering, and Operations to improve cycle time, throughput, and redundancy while supporting aggressive program timelines. Your work directly influences fab performance and development success.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve systemic Physical and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD and PVD) area issues affecting throughput, cycle time, and operational risk
  • Drive area performance using clear metrics, risk assessments, and data-informed capital decisions
  • Partner with Industrial Engineering, Process Development, Manufacturing, and Operations to evaluate capacity scenarios and mitigation plans
  • Lead safety and quality efforts including audits, good catches, and human QDR follow-up
  • Analyze operational data to communicate trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Through strong leadership, optimally collaborate with stakeholders to drive projects, lead strategic meetings and drive capacity management

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment capacity planning or area process engineering
  • Strong knowledge of fab operations, capacity planning, floor scheduling, and line management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and continuously learn in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Physical and/or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD or PVD) processes
  • Experience developing or deploying area-level operational management tools or techniques
  • Background validating planning assumptions or supporting area-level strategic planning
  • Experience driving consistent manufacturing procedures across cross-functional teams
