Job Summary:
SCREEN is seeking a highly motivated Senior Wet Process and Applications Engineer to support the development, integration, and sales of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
This role requires strong technical leadership, project management skills, and the ability to initiate, engage and lead cross-functional collaborations to deliver high-performance solutions for our customers. Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
SCREEN USA SPE is seeking a Senior Wet Process and Applications Engineer to support SCREEN's expanding business needs in the US to support the development of new manufacturing processes for advanced semiconductor devices in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Lead onsite development engagements between SCREEN and customer R&D engineering teams
  • Work with partners and SCREEN service engineering team to understand, document and propose future hardware and process requirements and communicate these to the factory development team based in Japan
  • Work proactively with partners to develop new and improved cleaning and wet etching applications for advanced semiconductor applications on single wafer and batch tools
  • Prepare clear status reports for technical and executive management teams in SCREEN and for customers
  • Identify SCREEN product solutions to solve customer needs and communicate clearly to customer engineering and sales teams
  • Accurate and effective communication is essential in this position. Japanese language skills are beneficial but not required
  • This position will be primarily based in Hillsboro. Opportunities will arise to travel to Japan and within USA to support wafer demos and attend internal SCREEN meetings (less than 10%).
  • Work closely with US Sales and sales support teams to promote the full range of SCREEN through regular customer meetings as well as higher level technical review meetings.

Job Requirements:
3+ years of relevant experience in wet process engineering in a research and development role at a device manufacturer, or a semiconductor equipment manufacturer.
Understanding of wet clean and etching processes, and applications is a must for this position.
Familiarity with SCREEN single wafer tools is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided by process experts.
Education & Experience:
M.S./Ph. D in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or Physics
