Airtech International is a worldwide leader in materials and applications used in the production of advanced composites. We are seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to serve as a key technical resource for customers, distributors, and internal teams across the globe.
This role combines hands-on engineering, customer support, product development, testing, and process optimization. You'll work directly with manufacturers to solve complex production challenges, evaluate new technologies, and help customers maximize the performance of Airtech products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as a primary technical contact for customers and distributors worldwide.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and process challenges involving composite materials and related applications.
  • Provide technical recommendations, training, and hands-on support at customer facilities.
  • Support product implementation and qualification activities
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes using Airtech products.
  • Support applications including:
    • Vacuum bagging
    • Prepreg/autoclave processing
    • Resin infusion
    • Wet lay-up
    • Tooling systems
    • Large Scale Additive Manufacturing (LSAM)
  • Evaluate customer processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and product performance.
  • Conduct laboratory and field testing to validate material performance.
  • Evaluate new products, product improvements, and customer-specific solutions.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams on product development initiatives.
  • Support supplier qualification and supply chain development efforts.
  • Prepare technical reports, application guides, datasheets, and training materials.
  • Deliver customer training, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
  • Contribute technical content for articles, videos, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry standards, and competitive developments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in composite materials, process engineering, or technical service/support in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with composite processing techniques, vacuum bagging, autoclave curing, and/or additive manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% (Domestic & International).

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
  • In-depth knowledge of composite materials and processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, technical reporting, and presentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
  • Experience with lab testing equipment and methods is a plus.
  • Multilingual abilities are highly valued.
