Job Title: Application Support Engineer (Production Support)

Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract (6+ Months)

Domain: BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join the FIT Support team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in production/application support, SQL, Linux, scripting, and job scheduling tools. This role requires providing application, batch, user, and trading support in a fast-paced financial services environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in rotational shifts.

Required Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in Application/Production Support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL (RDBMS).
  • Good knowledge of Linux/Unix commands.
  • Experience with Shell Scripting.
  • Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M, Airflow, or similar schedulers.
  • Basic scripting/programming experience (Shell, Python, or similar).
  • Experience supporting production applications in a BFSI/Capital Markets environment.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income or Multi-Asset applications is highly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

  • Provide production and application support for business-critical applications.
  • Monitor and support batch jobs, user requests, and trading applications.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and resolve application or code-related problems.
  • Monitor scheduled jobs and resolve job failures.
  • Execute SQL queries for data analysis and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve production incidents.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and production support activities.
  • Ensure application availability and system stability.
