What is The Opportunity?

As a Level 2 Application Support Engineer, you'll take ownership of the reliability and performance of mission-critical trading platforms. This is more than a support role-you'll drive operational excellence, influence system design, mentor team members, and grow your expertise in SRE practices and modern infrastructure. What Will You Do?

  • Own the reliability of critical production systems, proactively monitoring and resolving issues across web servers, application servers, middleware, and trading platform infrastructure

  • Lead incident response and change management, coordinating cross-functional teams, conducting thorough root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures that reduce future incidents

  • Drive operational excellenceby championing SRE practices, automating repetitive workflows, and aligning technical initiatives with business priorities to improve system resilience

  • Provide technical leadershipby collaborating with development, infrastructure, and L3 support teams to solve complex challenges, and mentoring junior engineers as the team grows

  • Manage and optimize application job scheduling, ensuring seamless execution of critical processes and supporting smooth deployments during project implementations

  • Influence system architectureby bringing frontline insights to design discussions, helping shape decisions around scalability, reliability, and user experience

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must Have

  • 5-10 years of production support experience, ideally in financial services, trading, or other high-availability environments

  • Strong SQL skillsfor querying, analyzing data, and troubleshooting application issues

  • Hands-on experience supporting .NET and Java applicationsin both traditional and modern containerized environments (Kubernetes)

  • Solid understanding of VMs, cloud platforms, and infrastructure fundamentals

  • Working knowledge of microservices architectures and RESTful APIs

  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools: Dynatrace Managed, Catchpoint, Kibana, Splunk

  • Deep familiarity with incident and change management frameworks(ITIL or similar)

  • Comfortable participating in rotating 724 on-call support(with fair scheduling and team backup)

Nice-to-Have:

  • Hands-on experience applyingSRE principles(SLOs, error budgets, blameless postmortems)

  • Background inasset management or CMDB processes

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
