Job description

JUNIOR DISTRIBUTED GENERATION APPLICATION PROCESSOR (REMOTE-CST TIMEZONE)
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Select Group is looking for Junior Distributed Generation Application Processors who will be reviewing and processing residential Distributed Generation (DG) interconnection applications. This position requires the ability to read and verify one-line electrical drawings against set standards while working under the guidance of Mid-Level and Senior Processors. The Junior Processor will focus on straightforward applications while building efficiency and deepening technical knowledge of utility interconnection processes.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and process residential DG interconnection applications daily (building to higher volumes with experience)
  • Review one-line electrical drawings to verify basic alignment with set criteria and application data
  • Check application completeness and identify common deficiencies using established checklists
  • Communicate standardized feedback to installers/customers via portal templates
  • Work toward maintaining 10-day turnaround time for assigned applications
  • Escalate complex, unusual, or technically uncertain applications to Mid-Level or Senior Processors
  • Document work activities and track common errors under supervision
  • Participate in training sessions and weekly team meetings
  • Review final-stage application photos for obvious discrepancies with approved specifications
  • Follow established procedures for application workflow and customer communication
  • Learn escalation processes and quality standards
  • Assist with basic reporting and data entry tasks as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of professional experience in technical review, permitting, customer service, or related field
  • Ability to read and understand electrical one-line drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
  • Good computer skills and comfort learning new software systems
  • Effective written communication skills for portal-based customer interactions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in structured team environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in related field
  • Previous experience in utility, construction, permitting, or solar industry
  • Background in electrical systems or residential construction
  • Experience with data entry, document review, or application processing
  • Customer service background
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
