We are seeking a hands-on Cutting Room Manager to lead day-shift cutting operations in a high-volume knit apparel manufacturing facility. This is a floor-focused leadership role—you will be on the production floor daily, leading the team, solving problems in real time, and running production using automated spreading and cutting equipment.

Key Responsibilities (On the Floor)

  • Lead cutting room operations directly on the production floor
  • Operate and oversee automated cutting and spreading systems (Gerber, Lectra, or similar)
  • Execute daily cutting plans to support sewing and shipping schedules
  • Monitor and improve fabric utilization, marker efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Manage fabric relaxation, shade control, and lot integrity
  • Troubleshoot equipment, quality, and workflow issues as they happen
  • Train, coach, and hold cutting room operators and leads accountable
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping, and equipment standards
  • Communicate clearly with Production, Planning, QA, and Warehouse teams

Requirements:


  • 5+ years of knit apparel cutting room experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Gerber, Lectra, or similar automated cutting and spreading equipment
  • Proven leadership in a high-volume production environment
  • Solid understanding of knit fabrics (jersey, fleece, rib, performance knits)
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
  • Day-shift availability
  • Willing to relocate for the right opportunity
  • Strong floor leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in large-scale or vertically integrated apparel operations
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement background
