HUGO BOSS is a world market leader in the premium fashion and luxury segment of the apparel market. With 3 physical warehouses, the Savannah Distribution Center processes approximately 12 million units, serving 212 retail stores and over 962 wholesale points of sale annually.

In this role, you will oversee all operations within your assigned department(s), ensuring workload management, staff optimization, and process efficiency. You will lead your team through volume spikes, including month-end and quarter-end demands, with minimal disruption to product flow or service windows. This position requires strong leadership, adaptability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing operations, driving results, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Supervision
Oversee all operations within assigned department(s) and provide direction to supervisors as needed.
Manage departmental workloads and ensure staffing levels are appropriate to meet operational demands.
Maintain an appropriate flow of workload within the department and ensure all process time goals are met daily.
Demonstrate strong supervisory skills by providing guidance, direction, performance accountability, and input on employee performance.
Monitor and address accuracy, productivity, and attendance issues using the progressive discipline program.
Process Improvement & Reporting
Develop and implement strategic projects to improve the facility's productivity, capacity, and throughput.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement process enhancements within assigned department(s).
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly KPI summaries to the Director of Operations/Sr. Operations Manager.
Utilize the SAP EWM system proficiently to monitor and manage business operations within assigned department(s).
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
Work collaboratively within a team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Training & Development
Provide thorough training for new hires and temporary staff, including cross-training to cover volume spikes, absenteeism, and vacations.
Initiate and complete cross-training in key positions to ensure operational flexibility and coverage.

Compliance & Safety
Always maintain a safe and secure work environment, enforcing all HUGO BOSS rules and safety guidelines.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all teams.

Flexibility & Adaptability:
Demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges and expand beyond the current role.
Adapt to changes within assigned department(s) and the Distribution Center as a whole.
Prioritize tasks effectively in a rapidly changing environment to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Management, or Logistics (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of management experience in a retail or distribution environment.
  • Working experience with SAP or other WMS (required).

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with great team-building abilities and impeccable integrity.
  • Strong technical and analytical proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Access, MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and OneNote.
  • Proven track record of strong management skills, including effective delegation and success in leadership roles.

Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and tasks with a strict focus on deadlines and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Flexibility to work 45-50 hours per week, with the expectation of overtime as needed.
  • Availability and willingness to work any shift as required to meet business needs
